Don't Hide Your Curves

Are you hiding your curves daily? Are your jeans ill fitting, and shirt just too big? Don't worry, I'll wait on you to go to a mirror and take a look. However, I'm pretty sure that you don't need one. How do you currently feel right now in what you're wearing? I strongly believe that when you look good you feel good.

Some times we hide behind our clothes in the hopes of just disappearing. We wear black everyday because we think it looks slimming. Black doesn't make you look slimmer, it makes you recede into nothing and become forgettable.

I'm not saying that it's wrong to wear black. I understand that many of your staples should be black simply because they don't clash with other pieces. But, you must add color to your wardrobe!

Here are a few simple ways to add color to your closet:

Shoes- Purchase those shoes that you love with a million different colors in them and you have no idea where you could possibly wear them...yet. Buy the fire engine red pumps, the robins egg blue sandals, and those army green boots. Your wardrobe will thank you for it.

colorful shoes…

Scarves- Scarves can liven up your jeans and t-shirt and can put a great spin on your favorite knee length dress. They're also appropriate for every season and comes in a limitless amount of prints and colors.

Tights- Yes, you can take it there with colors. Green, blue, burgundy, pink, and orange. Don't be afraid, have fun, it's just clothes. (My personal favorite is burgundy..lol.)

Belts- Throw a red belt on a blue dress and watch how great it looks. Color blocking has been in and will stay in for a long time. Take advantage of this great fashion staple.

Blazers-You can spice up any black ensemble with a delightful blazer. You can also take an already colorful outfit to the next level by adding a blazer that compliments it.

I know that many of you are saying "but Je Tuan, I love black!"- Me too! I love black just as much as the next girl simply because I like how I can mix and match it with other pieces and I can use it to showcase my bold jewelry or my super glam make up. When I wear black it's because I have a huge necklace that I want to wear, a great shirt that I want to show off, or my shoes just don't want to compete with anything else.

The moral of my rant? Don't hide your curves, show them off because they're beautiful and so are you.
